General questions

Festival times
The Jazzweekend takes place from 4th to 7th of July at the following times: Thursday 5.30 pm to 11.30 pm in the Gewerbepark and Leerer Beutel, Friday 6 pm to midnight, Saturday 11 am to midnight and Sunday 9.30 am to 11 pm in Regensburg's Old Town, Kallmünz and Wenzenbach. Due to the theatre festival, there will be no Jazzweekend programme at Bismarckplatz from 6.30 pm on Saturday, 6th July.
Is the Jazzweekend free of charge?
Yes, the Jazzweekend is completely free of charge.
Is there a central contact point or information centre?
Yes, this year the festival lounge at Kohlenmarkt will once again be the central point of contact for all questions. Our staff will be available there. The programme flyer and great Jazzweekend merchandise are also available there. The festival lounge will be open on Friday, 5th July, from 5 to 10 pm and on Saturday, 6th July, and Sunday, 7th July, from 11 am to 10 pm.
Where can I find lost property?
The Jazzweekend lost property office is located in the festival lounge at Kohlenmarkt during the festival period. Found items can be handed in here and missing items can (hopefully) be found again. After the Jazzweekend, the lost property will be taken to the lost property office of the City of Regensburg. The lost property office is located in the New Town Hall, Minoritenweg 4, 93047 Regensburg.
Where can I find toilets?
Toilets are signposted at the respective venues and the public toilets of the City of Regensburg at Vor der Grieb 2, Schwanenplatz, Neupfarrplatz, Trunzergasse and Interims-ZOB, Ernst-Reuter-Platz / Albertstraße can also be used.
Where can I find paramedics and first aiders?
First aid stands are located at Bismarckplatz and Haidplatz. There are also mobile units on the road. In acute emergencies, please call 112.
Am I allowed to take photographs and film?
Photography for private use is generally permitted. The personal rights of third parties must be respected at all times. The making of film and sound recordings of any kind and their publication without the permission of the City of Regensburg and the respective artists is prohibited.
Will I be photographed or filmed?
Photos and videos will be produced at the 43rd Bavarian Jazz Weekend. By participating in the event, visitors agree that the City of Regensburg may produce or have produced image and/or sound recordings of them. The City of Regensburg is authorised to publish and disseminate these recordings live and/or with a time delay, free of charge and without time, space or content restrictions in all multimedia offerings of the City of Regensburg as well as social networks/third-party platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and in print. The City of Regensburg may also use the recordings to publicise future events.
Is the Jazzweekend suitable for children and families?
Yes, the program is basically designed for young and old. However, it might be a bit cramped with baby carriages, especially in the smaller venues. On Saturday, July 12th, visitors of all ages can enjoy children's concerts with the Susanna Bartilla Quintet and magical songs from the Disney universe in the Boulderwelt at 12 noon and 2 pm.

When and where do which bands play?
The participating venues, times and bands can be found in the programme flyers on display or on the website at www.jazzwe.de. Programme flyers are available at the venues or can be picked up in the festival lounge at Kohlenmarkt.
From when to when do the bands play?
The performance times vary depending on the venue. You can find the exact details in the programme flyer on display or on the website at www.jazzwe.de. Please note that changes at short notice due to illness or similar cannot be ruled out.
Can there be changes to the programme?
Yes, there may be changes to the programme at any time due to unforeseeable cancellations. These will be communicated at www.jazzwe.de and on our social media channels (@jazzwe.regensburg).

Questions about merchandise

Is there Jazzweekend merchandise and where can I buy it?
Yes, you can buy Jazzweekend T-shirts, Jazzweekend caps, Jazzweekend bags, a Jazzweekend booklet and Jazzweekend posters in the festival lounge at the Kohlenmarkt. In addition, some bands will be selling band-related merchandise and CDs or similar at the venues after their performances.

Questions about parking

Where can I park my car?
Parking is available at the Unterer Wöhrd car park on the B15, at the Dultparkplatz, Am Protzenweiher 93059 Regensburg and in the underground car parks in the city centre. You can find an overview of the latter at www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de.

Cycling to the Jazz Weekend: cooperation with Feine Räder Regensburg
Rhythmic cycling! With the voucher code “JazzR25”, visitors to the Jazzweekend from July 10 to 13 can ride the climate-neutral Donau Donkeys from Feine Räder Regensburg for one hour free of charge. After one hour, the regular rental fee applies.

Questions about the venues

Where can I find an overview of all the Jazzweekend venues?
In the programme flyer and on the website at www.jazzwe.de, a map provides an overview of all participating venues.
Is there seating available at the venues?
Most of the venues are equipped with chairs or benches. Depending on the number of visitors, seating may be limited.
Is there a maximum number of visitors permitted at the venues?
The operators of the venues adhere to the respective safety guidelines and can therefore refuse entry to additional people if the maximum number of authorised visitors is reached.
Can my dog join me?
Dogs are generally allowed at the outdoor venues, however, due to the noise level and the expected high number of visitors, it is recommended that dogs are not exposed to stress. Indoors, the decision to allow dogs is the responsibility of the respective venue operator.

Questions about the weather

Are the venues covered?
This varies from venue to venue. Many of the venues are covered or are enclosed spaces. When visiting the venues, it is advisable to wear appropriate clothing such as headgear, sun protection or a rain jacket. Make sure you are sufficiently hydrated in hot temperatures.
What happens in the event of rain or bad weather?
The covered venues in the pubs or bars are independent of the weather conditions. The concerts on the outdoor stages must react flexibly to the weather conditions. All current information and last-minute changes will be announced on the website www.jazzwe.de or on our social media channels (@jazzwe.regensburg).

Questions about the catering

Are there food and drink stands?
Yes, individual vendors will be selling food and drinks at Bismarckplatz, Haidplatz, Thon-Dittmer-Palais and Marc-Aurel-Ufer. In addition, individual venues at the stages offer culinary catering.
I have a food intolerance/allergy. How can I find out which food stall offers food that is suitable for me?
Please enquire about allergens and ingredients at the respective stands.

Questions about accessibility

Where can I park at the Jazzweekend site with my disabled badge?
Due to the expected high number of visitors, it will not be possible to drive directly to the venues by car. Parking for people with disabilities is available in the underground car parks in the city centre. Further information can be found at www.regensburg.de/leben/verkehr-u-mobilitaet/parken.
Are the venues barrier-free?
Not all venues are barrier-free. The stages at the Bismarckplatz, Haidplatz, Thon-Dittmer-Palais, Gewerbepark and Marc-Aurel-Ufer venues are barrier-free. For all other venues, please enquire directly at the venues, on their websites or by telephone.
Where can I find accessible toilets?
Accessible toilets are located at Schwanenplatz, Bismarckplatz and in the Thon-Dittmer-Palais (Haidplatz 8).
