What are the most important contact points for musicians?
This year you will find the festival centre in the Volvo module at Kohlenmarkt, where a contact person will be available at all times to answer your questions and deal with your concerns. If you haven't already done so, you can also hand in your GEMA list here on the day of your performance at the latest.
With the WeJazz button, you will be recognisable to everyone as a musician and will receive free coffee at the What the Kiosk? locations Neupfarrplatz 9 and Albertstraße 14 (at the "Schwammerl").
General questions
Set-up and sound check will take place 45 minutes before the specified playing time. Set-up takes place parallel to the dismantling of the previous band. Dismantling must therefore take place within 30 minutes immediately after the end of the performance.
The following applies at the venues Bismarckplatz, Haidplatz and Thon-Dittmer-Palais: The food vouchers sent by post can be redeemed for food at all food stands at the respective venue, drinks will be provided at the stages. Three food vouchers worth 5 euros each are provided per person. Any change is intended for you.
At the other venues: You will receive a meal plus drinks at your venue before or after your performance. This can be discussed individually on the day and at the venue.
The fee is usually due and transferred 14 days after the end of the Jazzweekend. Please make sure that we have received your GEMA list for the payment of your fees. If this has not yet been done, you can hand in your GEMA list in the festival lounge on the day of your performance at the latest.
The private regional TV station TVA will be out and about in the city centre on the Saturday of the festival and will be filming small excerpts of performances or the atmosphere of individual venues for a special programme on Monday. Possible interviews will be requested separately in due course.
Photos and videos will also be produced for the 44rd Bavarian Jazz Weekend. By participating in the event, the musicians agree that the City of Regensburg may produce or have produced image and/or sound recordings of them. The City of Regensburg is authorised to publish and distribute these recordings live and/or time-delayed, free of charge and without time, space or content restrictions in all multimedia offerings of the City of Regensburg as well as social networks/third-party platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and in print. The City of Regensburg may also use the recordings to publicise future events.
Questions about travelling and getting around
We recommend travelling to Regensburg early and allowing enough time to get to your performance venue in the old town. You can arrive by car, train or public transport, as the main train and bus stations are only a few minutes' walk from the city centre. You can find timetable information and information on tickets on the RVV website at www.rvv.de or in the RVV app. You can also use the shuttle service on site.
Once again this year, a shuttle service will be available to all artists for transportation during the festival. All registration information has been communicated to you by e-mail, please register by Sunday, June 29. For urgent matters and last-minute changes, please contact the responsible contact person directly.
And if you still have questions?
If you still have questions, first check all the information emails you have received from us, perhaps the answer is already hidden there. Otherwise, our contact persons are ready to help you and take care of your concerns.
